it's Christmastime in the city

Ryan learned a lot of Christmas carols this year.  He's still singing them.  It's super cute.  One of the ones he is good at is "Silver Bells"....it's Christmastime in the city....
Last weekend we decided to make the trek into San Francisco with my parents to enjoy the beauty of Christmas (even though it had already passed, we didn't have time to make it in before the holiday).  It was still just as great, and maybe just a little less crowded.  We started the day on BART to get into SF, checked out the decorations in the lobby of the Hyatt Hotel, then caught the Cable Car to get us up to the top of Nob Hill.  We walked through Grace Cathedral, walked through the Fairmont Hotel to see the huge gingerbread house, and then walked down to Union Square to see the tree and all the decorations.  From there we caught the street car down to the Ferry Building, got some lunch, and caught the train back home.  Phew!  A tiring day...but both kids did SO well with the adventure.  Ryan was a bit leery of the cable car ride, and kept asking me when we were going to get off.   But otherwise, they were both super city troopers!
Enjoy our iPhone photos...none of us brought a real camera along.
