Christmas

We had a great, stay at home, Christmas celebration this year.  We hosted Christmas Eve dinner, with Eddy's family (minus Andrea and her family...and we missed them!) and my parents.  And then my parents stayed the night, and we had a great and lazy Christmas day.  The morning of course was filled with presents and yummy breakfast...and then that rolled right over into the afternoon.  Most of us didn't get out of our pjs until later, or in Ryan's case not at all.  It was a rainy Christmas day, with no where to go, so why not?  It was a fabulous holiday this year, filled with great family time.  What more could we ask for?
I have two favorite moments from this holiday:
The first I already mentioned, the entire family singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, at Ryan's demand...with him leading the song.
The other one, was after everyone had gone to bed on Christmas Eve...little miss Kaitlyn decided it was time for her to wake back up.  Not fussy, just awake.  So Eddy, Kaitlyn, and I sat on the couch in the living room...all the lights out except the Christmas tree....and we just enjoyed the moment.  Couldn't ask for a better baby's first Christmas.

Ryan was super present opener this year...he opened everyone's presents!  And proclaimed "This is exactly what I wanted!" with each gift he opened.
Santa was here
the note arrived, and the cookies and carrots departed shortly after this photo was taken...all before the kids woke up

Superstructs...kept the 3 boys entertained for awhile
Other favorite gifts for Ryan this year:
a new bicycle...with pedals!
a play kitchen (for him and Kaitlyn to share when she's a bit bigger)
the Bat Cave -- like a dollhouse, but for Batman and Robin
books, books, books and Toy Story the movie
As for Kaitlyn:
she was happy with the wrapping paper, but she got a few books, some new clothes, and a couple of toys to chew on
