What better way to celebrate your birthday, than to stretch it out over multiple days and gatherings. Eddy and I got to have a date night last weekend, which was a wonderful treat (thanks Nanny and Dzia Dzia for babysitting!). Then we had a little birthday dinner party after we got home from work on my actual birthday (yes, I worked on my birthday...but when you work part time it's hard to justify taking a day off just because). Thanks for all the phone calls, birthday cards, emails, homemade cupcakes, and happy thoughts. It was a good day.

| perfect family shot....minus the thumb in the mouth. oh well, we can't have everything. |
And the best birthday gift this year....the return of one of my
besties! Lindsay is one of my very dear friends from high school, and she and her husband Andy have been living in London for the last few years. Well, Andy is pretty much from England, so I guess he's been there longer. Anyway, they decided to get away from the cloud covered country and attempt to remove the webbing from their toes by moving back here to enjoy some sun. And we are so happy to have them. Welcome home friends!
