This past weekend we went on our first official family vacay...as in, a vacation as a family, with another family, including all the kids. My very close friend Kate, her husband Drew, and their 2 boys Ben (2 1/2 years old) and Ty (almost 6 months old) flew down from Seattle, and we spent 4 days up in Tahoe and then another few days at our house. At times the weather was not so cooperative, there were moments we thought it was October and not August, but despite the cold and sprinkles we managed to have a great time. We took a nature walk, threw some rocks in the water, played at a nearby playground, and explored the cabin. And, the best part, was the time we had for nice dinners and a few glasses of wine after the kids were all snuggled in bed. It was so much fun to catch up! If only they lived closer.
